  • Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory [b]which God bestows and(romans 3, 23)
  • Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth who does good and never sins. (Ecclesiastes 7, 20)
  • For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction].(Isaiah 64,6)
  • The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]? (Jeremiah 17,9)
  • All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53,6)

  • 2- You cannot save your-self
  • He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,… (Titus 3,5)
  • Yet we know that a man is justified or reckoned righteous and in right standing with God not by works of the Law… (Galatians 2,16)
  • For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it. (James 2,10)
  • There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death. (Proverbs 14,12)
  • Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. (John 14,6).

  • 3- Jesus has already provided for your salvation
  • He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [g][as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness… (1 Peter 2,24)
  • For Christ [the Messiah Himself] died for sins once [f]for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous (the Just for the unjust, the Innocent for the guilty), that He might bring us to God. (1 Peter 3,18)
  • For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [[g]endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. (2 Corinthians 5,21)
  • For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. (John 3,16).
  • 4- Jesus will enable you to overcome temptation
  • Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment and doom… (2 Peter 2,9)
  • For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [b]adjusted and [c]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to [d]a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. (1 Corinthians 10,13)
  • (…) if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new   creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! (2 Corinthians 5,17).

Your Part

  • BELIEVE

  • REPENT (Turn from your sins)
I tell you, No; but unless you repent ([a]change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost [b] (Luke 13,3)
  • CONFESS YOUR SINS TO JESUS
For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus… (1 Timothy 2,5)
  • CONFESS JESUS BEFORE OTHERS
Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10,9)
And I tell you, Whoever declares openly [speaking out freely] and confesses that he is My worshiper and acknowledges Me before men, the Son of Man also will declare and confess and acknowledge him before the angels of God. (Luke 12,8).

Do it now
(…) behold, now is the day of salvation! (2 Corinthians 6,2)

  • Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55,6)

And he does not come into judgment [does not incur sentence of judgment, will not come under condemnation], but he has already passed over out of death into life. (John 5,24)
  • (…) choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve (…) (Joshua 24,15)
